Sensors Development
This project is a group of studies focused on the development of low-cost sensors to control continuously the environmental conditions, which is a key parameter to establish circumstances in which human activities carry the risk of harmful effects on the natural environment.
The continuous and excessive exploration of our natural resources due to the developing industry and agricultural activities creates a strong pressure on our ecosystems, leaving the natural ecosystems vulnerable to large-scale degradation. Environmental resources management and protection are at the core of sustainable development, and require a constant monitoring and assessing, being a key element to minimize the negative impacts on these ecosystems.
We develop different types of sensors, using IoT technology, to monitor continuously the air, water, and soil conditions.
