Limnotronic

Founded in 2023 as part the CEHPAR (Professor Parigot de Souza Center for Hydraulics and Hydrology), a research center at the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR), the laboratory emerged with a vision to synergize technology and environmental monitoring. The primary mission was to integrate cutting-edge technological advancements into environmental research, especially focusing on water resources.

The laboratory's long-term goal is to establish itself as a highly productive research hub, continuously securing funding for innovative projects. By fostering international collaborations, the lab aims to transcend geographical boundaries and leverage global expertise in advancing the understanding of physical limnology. Another core aspect of the lab's mission is to mentor and guide Ph.D. students, nurturing the next generation of experts in the field. With a strong emphasis on sensor development, the lab endeavors to push the boundaries of scientific instrumentation, resulting in patent-worthy devices that can revolutionize environmental monitoring and assessment. By blending technology with environmental research and retaining its firm grounding in physical limnology, the laboratory aspires to become a beacon of scientific excellence.
